From Fatman to Ironman

Okay so here's the story, embarrassing but true... My wife convinced me into sharing something a bit embarrassing about myself with the entire world!

So here's the story...
Over the past few years I was traveling entirely too much, I was pretty stressed out, had a couple injuries, that all contributed to me making excuses for not taking care of myself by exercising and eating well ( I guess I was too busy trying to "save the world" and got a little off track). Well... as a result I gained an tremendous amount of weight (I am sure you never noticed... ha) that was definitely unhealthy, made me fatigued, and kept me stuck in a rut of self sabotaging behaviors. Last summer (2008) I had achieved my heaviest weight ever (I am an over achiever after all!)

Someone who cared made a big difference...
My friend and health coach Doug Caporrino recommended Take Shape For Life to me and I began the program in the fall (November) at a weight of about 240 pounds :( Thankfully this program helped me get back on track with the most important priority in my life... my personal health. Since November I have gotten rid  65 pounds (for good), if you scroll to the b ottom of the page you will see the before and after pics.  I can honestly say that I am in better shape today at almost 38 than I was in the original picture when I was 28. As of this writing I am preparing for my first 1/2 Ironman race (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run). So yes I have gone from FATMAN to IRONMAN!

Impact on many lives...
As a result of getting myself back on track we have started many people in our practice and community on the TSFL program. As of today we have helped nearly 200 people on the path to optimal health. Helping them to reduce and eliminate many medications like blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetic medications and more.

We have clients and patients on this program who have gotten rid of as little as 15 pounds to as many as 82 pounds! On top of that they are looking younger, feeling better, holding their adjustments longer, reducing and eliminating medications!

A New Mom shares her story...

I would like to share my success on TSFL program. It really works. I lost over 20 pounds  from 172lbs to 150lbs (and counting) in less than 3 months and now have a healthy BMI. More importantly, my total cholesterol went down 63 points, from 231 to 168. It was the only program I ever tried that worked so quickly and was very easy to follow. It was just what I needed to get rid of unwanted pregnancy pounds after having my son. I happily fit back into my size 7/8 jeans. I have a very packed schedule and  must balance a full time career with a very busy home life. This program fit right in with no hassle.  My husband and toddler had the "lean and green" meal with me each night, so I never felt like I had to cook a ton of seperate food for myself. I stayed on the 5&1 plan for 5 weeks and successfully transitioned on to all whole foods.  I am still losing weight and will use the nutrition & fitness skills I learned from the program to stay healthy for life. I would recommend TSFL to anyone who wants to jump start weight loss and/or who wants to lower their cholesterol naturally.
